China's Antimony Oxide Exports Fell Sharply MoM in October [SMM Data]

Published: Nov 21, 2025 09:22

According to customs data, China's antimony oxide exports in October 2025 were 180 mt. On a monthly basis, compared with the export volume of 111.2 mt in September, the MoM change was relatively small, showing only a slight increase, but it was almost negligible compared to the normal export volume. Many market participants indicated that compared to the normal monthly export volume of several thousand mt in the past, current antimony oxide exports are essentially close to zero, reflecting weak export willingness in the industry chain. Regarding the fundamentals of the current antimony market, after prices recently stopped falling and stabilized, they rose rapidly, leading sellers to be more cautious in selling their supplies, with strong reluctance to sell. The reluctance to export is even more pronounced. Many market participants noted that October's antimony oxide exports of only around 100 mt were within expectations, indeed indicating that antimony export enterprises still lack enthusiasm for product exports. Market participants still expect that the full-year antimony oxide export volume for this year will be far lower than last year's level on a MoM basis.

[SMM Analysis] Titanium Dioxide Prices Rise Post-Holiday, Geopolitical Risks Cloud Export Outlook
As of March 3, domestic titanium dioxide prices edged up, driven by post-holiday price hike announcements from both chloride and sulfate producers. The rally is supported by rising sulfuric acid costs, improving demand, and low inventory levels. However, escalating geopolitical tensions have disrupted shipping routes, affecting key export markets including India and the Middle East. Near-term focus remains on downstream restocking and the evolving geopolitical landscape.
